Blue Island’s Oyster Farm & Kayak tour is the ultimate experience. Your adventure starts with a brief lesson on the history, biology & geography of oysters, as well as the tools and tactics of oyster farming and how our “Island Dock'' and Oyster Farm works. You can participate in a guided kayak eco-tour on a 2 person kayak. You will get to indulge on farm-fresh Blue Island oysters and a traditional New England lobster roll picnic lunch with dessert. You’re welcome to provide your own beverages and and we’ll provide a place to keep your drinks cold.
The kayaking portion is an open water experience that lasts approx 45 minutes and there may be unexpected wind gusts and tidal changes that require you to be physically capable of maneuvering a 2 person Ocean Kayak.
This tour lasts approx 3 hours.
*The Sunset Tour will last approx 3-4 hours depending on the sunset time and how clear the sky is that evening.
